Just what we all need for our Pickups or SUVs Show our troops in the field that we can all support them by doing nothing but memorizing some pithy sayings and shopping for taiwanese crap from a lowest common denominator store chain.

If you were a soldier in a desperate situation and you needed to repair your vehicle to escape, and you found a set of handtools in the back of the humvee, would you hope they were from WalMart, or hope they were not?
Well I think I'd take anything. I am more of a pragmatist. Don't get me wrong, I do see that need for shops like Wal-Mart I just think that giving these guys almost unlimited power to affect local politics might be counter productive. Big Box stores kill small towns off by taking away the incentive to shop with small business retailers. The types of tax exemptions that they are capable of negotiating are far beyond the ken of traditional mom and pop stores so these traditionalist retailers can't possibly compete.
All that is moot for the residents though. they are, i believe, well served by getting pproducts at a very low price. It allows them to have more purchasing power. I guess I just don't like the cost at which this purchasing power comes.
